The UNDP Programme “Partnership for the Future” is pleased to announce the organization of a seminar on Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Security.

Mr. Emmanuel Varouhas (Professor in Information Management, Department of Computer Information Systems, The American College of Greece, Deree College) will cover the following topics:

• The need for security.
• Threats and attacks.
• Ethical and professional issues.
• Risk management and risk control strategies.
• Security education, training and awareness.
• Continuity strategy and business impact analysis.
• Intrusion prevention systems and compliance.
• Justifying security investment.
• Security in mobile technologies.
• Security trends.

This seminar is meant for participants from ICT companies or other companies interested on ICT security. Also, people having a professional/academic interest in this subject are encouraged to attend it.

The seminar is open to 20 participants only. Registration will be done on first come, first served basis. The seminar will be in English and catering will be provided. For registration, please contact by 18 December 2006;
