The UNDP Programme “Partnership for the Future” in collaboration with the Turkish-Cypriot Chamber of Industry is pleased to announce the organization of a two-day seminar on Food Labeling and EU Legislation. The seminar will aim at providing Turkish Cypriot food manufacturers and retailers with the knowledge they need to develop proper food labeling in accordance with EU requirements in order to market their products in the EU and meet EU consumer expectations.
The seminar will include training on the EU Regulations and Directives related to food labelling. The trainer will ensure that trainees fully understand the EU requirements by reviewing packaging they have already developed. After the end of the seminar, the expert will carry out site visits to selected participants' companies offering advice on how to modify or improve the labelling of the companies' products in accordance with the relevant EU legislation.
The seminar is meant for 20 people only from the food manufacturing and retail sectors as well as for any other interested professionals from the food industry.
Working language of the seminar will be English and catering will be included. Those participants who attend the seminar will receive a certificate of attendance. Registration will be done on a first come first served basis .
