CALL FOR PROPOSALS

“COMPLIANCE WITH QUALITY, ENVIRONMENTAL
and HEALTH & SAFETY STANDARDS”

GRANT SCHEME

United Nations Development Programme Partnership for the Future Programme funded by the European Union

The Programme “Partnership for the Future (PFF)” funded by the European Union and managed by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is pleased to announce the first call for proposals for its “Compliance with Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Standards” Grant Scheme. The Grant scheme is meant to assist Turkish-Cypriot Micro, Small and Medium-Sized enterprises (MSMEs) and Organizations in achieving the certification on:

• The ISO 14001 - Environmental Management System

• The OHSAS 18001 - International Occupational Health and Safety Management System

• The ISO 22000 – Food Safety Management

Copies of the Grant scheme as well as of the application forms can be obtained from Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 17:00 at:

Applications from women and young entrepreneurs are particularly encouraged. Deadline for the submission of the applications is 16 April 2007 – 5 pm.

In order to assist potential applicants, three Info rmative seminars on the Grant scheme will be organized. The seminars will aim at explaining:

• Grant scheme objectives
• Grant scheme contents
• Eligibility criteria
• How the grants operate
• How to fill the application forms

The seminars will be open to public and will take place on 21-22 March 2007 at the following places:

• 21 March: 09: 3 0 – 11: 3 0: Kyrenia, Colony Hotel,
• 22 March: 9:00 – 11:00 Nicosia, Chamber of Commerce
• 22 March: 14:30 – 16:30 Famagusta , Palm Beach Hotel.
