The UNDP Programme “Partnership for the Future” in collaboration with the Turkish-Cypriot Chamber of Environmental Engineers and the Regional Environmental Centre for Central and Eastern Europe (REC) is pleased to announce the organization of a two days training session on the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) procedures.

The course will be the follow-up of the previous training course held on 13-16 June 2006. Through the analysis of practical case studies, the course will aim at increasing knowledge in the following topics:

• How to prepare and review EIA Reports

• How to review an EIA Report

• How to set up consultation process;

The main concepts on EIA procedures have been developed during the previous training course. Therefore, even if a summary of the basic concepts will be provided at the beginning of this session, it is recommended the participation of people who have already a certain background on the topic.

The seminar is meant for max 25 people from Organizations, NGOs and professionals involved in this topic. Working language of the seminar will be English. Registration will be done on first come first served basis. For registration, please contact by 30 th March 2007 :
