Organic Farming Inspector Courses

UNDP Programme “Partnership for the Future” in cooperation with the “Organic Life and Farming Association (ORYAT)” is pleased to announce the organization of training courses on “Organic Farming EU Certification Process and How to become inspector in organic farming”.

Organic Farming EU Certification Process Course
5 – 6 May 2011, Merit Hotel, Nicosia (09:00 – 17:00)

The purpose of the course is to train farmers who intend to start organic production. The first part of the course will focus on the organic farming certification process in accordance with the EU legislation. The second part of the course will involve the participants, through training-on-the-job and on practical issues how to get organic farming certification. Farmers who are planning to start organic production or switch from conventional farming to organic farming are strongly encouraged to apply. The course is only meant for 20 people and registration will be done based on first come first serve basis. The course will be either English with Turkish translation or Turkish.

How to Become Inspector in Organic Farming
23-24-25 May 2011, Merit Hotel, Nicosia (09:00 – 17:00)

The purpose of the course is to train agricultural engineers, food engineers and other technical people on how to become inspectors in organic farming. The people who are interested in developing themselves as organic farming inspectors are encouraged to apply. The aim of the course is to assist Turkish Cypriot farming community to develop expertise in localizing the inspection process in the future. The course is only meant for 15 people and registration will be done based on first come first serve basis. The course will be either English with Turkish translation or Turkish.
