Course on
Genetically Modified Organisms
      
 
30 - 31 March 2010,9.00 to 17.00, Saray Hotel, Nicosia
 
The UNDP Programme “Partnership for the Future” is pleased to announce the organization of a two day course on “Genetically Modified Organisms” GMO products.
 
The aim of the course is to introduce the concept of GMO to the food experts and farmers who wants to increase their knowledge on genetically modified organisms and relevant EU regulations. Participants are expected to build capacity on the topic and understand the issue of GMO products and relevant regulations in the EU. Some of the areas to be discussed during the course are:
 
  • How do you define “genetically modified organisms?”
  • GMO and Food safety.
  • GMO in food and feed, presence and labels indications.
  • GMO analysis.
  • The legislation of GMO.
 
The course is designed for 20 participants and registration will be done on first come first serve basis. The course is free of charge. The course will be either in Turkish or in English with Turkish translation. For registration, please contact with us from the contact details below, not later than 29 March 2010.
