Joint venture between Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot engineering companies contracted to provide services for the feasibility studies of the Kato Pyrgos/Asağı Pirgo – Limnitis/Yeşilırmak Road in Cyprus.
The UNDP Partnership for the Future Programme, under the EU-funded “Aid Programme for the Turkish Cypriot community”, is pleased to announce that a joint venture between Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot engineering companies has been contracted to provide services for The Survey, Investigation, Assessment and Project Designs for the improvement of the Kato Pyrgos/Asağı Pirgo – Limnitis/Yeşilırmak Road in Cyprus.
The project involves the upgrading of the road from Kato Pyrgos/Asağı Pirgo to Limnitis/Yeşilırmak and it consists of a section of 2.2 km located in the United Nations controlled buffer zone and another section of about 4.5 km located in the northern part of the island.
The feasibility study of the project focuses on the investigation, assessment and survey needed to prepare the road designs and the preparation of the tending documents for the upgrading of the existing two sections of the road.
The overall assignment is to take place in a time period of eight weeks and the end result should lead to the preparation of tender documents for the construction of a better linkage between the two sections.
