PRESS Announcement - UNDP/PFF-174/09   CALL FOR PROPOSALS SUPPORTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF WOMEN AND YOUNG ENTREPRENEURSHIP GRANT SCHEME The Programme “Partnership for the Future (PFF)” funded by the European Union and managed by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is pleased to announce the call for proposals for its “Supporting the Development of Women and Young Entrepreneurship” Grant Scheme. The Grant scheme is meant to assist Turkish Cypriot women and young entrepreneurs in setting up new ventures or developing existing businesses. In order to assist potential applicants, informative seminars on the grant scheme will be organized. The seminars will explain the objectives of the grant scheme, the eligibility criteria, how to fill out the application forms, and how the UNDP-PFF grant scheme operates. The seminars are open to everyone and registrations are not necessary. The seminars will take place on 12, 13 and 14 January 2009 at the following places: 12 January: 14:30 – 16:00, Famagusta Municipality Conference Room, Famagusta. 13 January: 10:30 – 12:00, Colony Hotel, Kyrenia. 14 January: 14.30 – 16.00, Union of the Chambers of Cyprus Turkish Engineers and Architects, Nicosia. Copies of the Grant scheme guidelines and the application forms can be obtained from Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 17:00 at the Grant Scheme Secretariat, II Selim Caddesi, 40-42, Nicosia. The deadline for submission of the applications is 02 February 2009 – 4 pm.
