The UNDP Programme “Partnership for the Future” in collaboration with the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Industry and Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the organization of a course on the requirements of CE marking for construction materials. The CE marking is a mandatory European marking for certain product groups to indicate conformity with the essential health and safety requirements set out in EU Directives.
The purpose of the training is to assist the Turkish Cypriot private sector to increase their knowledge on CE marking directives for construction products (any product which is produced for incorporation in a permanent manner in construction works, including both buildings and civil engineering works). The seminar is targeted at manufacturers and professionals, who produce, import or wish to export to the EU products that require the CE mark.
The seminar’s aim is to provide participants with information on:
- How can I obtain CE marking certificate.
- Construction materials CE marking directives.
- Which product requirements apply to their product.
- The legal requirements involved with CE certification.
- How to assess, control and record product safety risks.
- How to construct a technical file and when such a document is required.
This seminar is designed for 25 participants. Registration will be done on first come first served basis. The registration fee is 25 YTL. The workshop will be in Turkish. For registration, please contact by 16 November 2008:
