Basic Level Food Hygiene Course
UNDP-PFF is organizing a Basic Level Food Hygiene course for food handlers. The course is of 4 hours' duration and it is designed to be informative and interactive, suitable for food handlers with no previous formal training. Participants will learn about:
• personal hygiene - basic rules and responsibilities
• common food hazards - physical, chemical and microbiological
• preventing food contaminations
• effective temperature control e.g. storage, thawing, reheating etc
• cleaning and disinfection.
A certificate will be handed out to those participants who complete the brief multiple choice assessment at the end of the course.
The training will be in Turkish and English. The training will be on 22 and 23 October 2007, with a repeat on 12,13 November in Famagusta and 27,29 November 2007 in Kyrenia:
22 and 23 October 2007, 9.00-13.00 Nicosia at the Saray Hotel
12 and 13 November 2007, 9.00-13.00 Famagusta at the Market Cafe, Bar
27 and 29 November 2007, 9.00-13.00 Kyrenia
There is place for a maximum of 20 participants per workshop. Registrations are on a first come first served basis. There is no registration fee.
