Language Course on Turkish and Turkish for Business Communication Print

Partnership For the Future

The EU funded UNDP Programme “Partnership for the Future” and the New Cyprus Association are pleased to announce the start of a course of Turkish and Turkish for business communication.

The course is scheduled to begin on Wednesday 20th October 2004 in both Limassol and Nicosia.

Thoukis Thoukidides, President of the New Cyprus Association says "we are very pleased that we are given the opportunity to work together with UNDP, on such an important and challenging project. A pre-requisite for any successful co-existence is communication, respect and understanding of ones culture, needs and beliefs. This course is an opportunity presented to Greek Cypriots to better communicate and better understand their compatriots, the Turkish Cypriots, by learning key, basic (everyday) Turkish. Not only, but through this process other issues equally important such as culture, religion, and intra island trade etc., can be better understood and greatly facilitated, thus minimizing the potential of friction and laying the foundations for successful co-existence now and in the future. We strongly believe that this project will substantially contribute towards rapprochement of the two communities”.

Interested participants are required to pay a registration fee of CYP25.
