Seminar on “The European Eco-label Award Scheme”

The Programme “Partnership for the Future (PFF)” funded by the European Union and managed by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is pleased to announce the organization of a seminar on “The European Eco-label Award Scheme” for Cypriot SMEs. The Eco-label is awarded to products and services, which fulfill certain ecological criteria in order to protect the environment. Especially in Cyprus, the hotels and the industries have to acquire the Eco-label in order to access the EU market. The seminar aims at explaining:

the requirements for the Eco-label
the ecological criteria of products and services
the direct and in-direct benefits of the implementation of Eco-label
how to apply for the Eco-label.

The seminar will take place on Monday 6 December 2004 at 09.00 a.m in Hilton Hotel in Nicosia.
